Today I am going to talk about why the winter months and holiday season are a great time to sell. I’ve got a few statistics to share that might change your mind if you’ve thought about waiting until spring or summer to put your house on the market.

The average sale price in the Denver Metro area for a detached single-family home has continued to rise and is now at $400,156. The average sales price for an attached single-family home (condo or townhome) is at a record high of $263,108. Inventory is still low and continuing to increase the sales price of homes in the area, and the average days on the market are still at an all-time low.

If you’re looking to sell your home in the next few months, there are plenty of buyers out in the market now that are needing to purchase before the holiday season. Another great reason to sell is that interest rates are still low, so you can get your new home at a cheaper rate. Rates have been slowly creeping up, but are expected to rise more dramatically in the coming months.

If you have any questions about putting your home on the market, the value of your home, or just want some more information on these statistics, I’d love to speak with you. Give me a call or send me an email today!
